Bankruptcy

The most important thing to do if you’re considering filing bankruptcy is to reach out! For many people, filing is not the only option!

Our solutions team can help you make a plan that will minimize losses and damage to your credit.

In some cases, the best option is to file bankruptcy. If that is the situation, we will walk you through how that will impact your membership at the credit union.

 

Repossessions

 

  • Give us a call! We’d love to help you find a solution. The best thing you can do for your credit is to be proactive - waiting too long and missing payments can lead to serious consequences.

  • Once you’ve turned in your auto for repossession, our solutions team will attempt to sell the vehicle. Any funds made from the sale will be applied to the balance of your loan. Any remaining balance will be your responsibility to pay off. To avoid further collection, such as filing suit/garnishments, you can work with our Solutions team to set up a payment plan to pay off the remainder of the loan.

  • When your repo is sold, there is a possibility that the sale price doe not fully cover the balance of your loan. In that case, you are still liable for the remaining balance.
